The Yankee hood is a drying device that combines contact drying and convection drying of paper pairs. Steam is used as a heat source to heat the air supply inside the hood, which is 4 - 10 times the drying capacity of ordinary drying staff.

 

Advantages and characteristics:

The speed of hot air ejection is 50 - 100 m / s

The temperature of hot air used is about 150 - 2000 C.

Drying and evaporation capacity can reach up to 70 kg (h m2)

 

The circulation is heated to the final temperature by steam and sent to the air hood by a high-pressure centrifugal fan. In order to ensure the removal of water from the paper pair, the temperature of the circulation air should not be too high. A part of the circulation air should be discharged from the fan to the outside to supplement a part of fresh air, which can be taken indoors or outdoors. The whole set of hot air system is equipped with an automatic control device to ensure the air supply temperature, humidity, paper dryness and energy saving. The steam type Yankee hood is mostly suitable for large cylinder parts of domestic Yankee paper machines or round and fourdrinier paper machines.
